The leaves are on the ground and their is definitely a chill in the air – autumn is well and truly on its way. On the plus side this means we can dig out our A/W favourites and update with fabulous new pieces. My first move is always getting out the black tights, either patterned or opaque just adding these to your summer dresses is a simple transition. With chunky knits, ankle boots and a snug scarf to see you through the early autumn months before winter really sets in. I think Alexa Chung nails trans-seasonal style, its not often she covers up those mile long legs but when she does its the black tights she reaches for. I have a short red, printed A-line dress which is years old but its my autumn staple. I’d really like something similar this season my key trends are deep burgundy and navy, bold tartans and as always leopard print – its practically a neutral! This stunning selection of perfect Autumn mini dresses are all George, and all under ┬ú20 so kind to your pocket too. I think any of these dresses would be gorgeous with either a flat ankle boot, velvet slipper or killer wedges, so versatile. The best thing about dresses is that they are great for day t0 evening wear, I keep a pair of heels at work then all you need is a slick of lippie and you are good to go.

With your basics nailed you can then start to look at the high fashion trends and work them into your look for a quick style update that packs a punch. Designers felt that 60s Mod vibe so your mini dress ticks that box, along with the allure of ‘norm core’ or just dressing normal to you and me – that means you can slouch around in your baggy old cardi and call it Haute. It has never been easier than this season to rock a runway look.
